Notice Number: NOT-LM-06-003

Key Dates
Release Date: February 10, 2006

Issued by
National Library of Medicine (NLM), (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/)

Prospective applicants for this RFA should be aware of the following:

No Limit on Faculty Biosketches

We have removed the limit on the number of faculty biosketches that can be included in the application. Tables 3 and 4 should be based on the program faculty for whom biosketches are included.

Appendix Material

W e will accept no appendices to applications submitted in response to this RFA. Any material submitted as appendices will not be sent to reviewers, and will not be returned to applicants.

Letters of Support

Letters of support should be included in the main body of the application, following the research plan.

Official Version of the RFA

The official version of the RFA, published January 12, 2006, contained an error about proposed program budgets which was corrected later that day. The corrected official version stipulates, on Page 10, that Stipends, tuition/fees/insurance, travel and training related expenses should not be increased in future year budgets. Prospective applicants should be certain they are using the current official version, which may be found at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-LM-06-001.html.

Reporting Trainee Publications in Progress Reports

Applicants filing continuation proposals must include a progress report. It is not necessary to list trainee publications in the progress report narrative. Rather, list them in an extension of Table 10, such that each publication appears only once even though it might be co-authored with other trainees. Include only publications and presentations that are peer-reviewed, and published or in press by March 17, 2006. Do not include publications that resulted from trainees' work prior to their entering your program.
