NOTICE OF LIMITED COMPETITION REQUEST FOR COMPETING APPLICATIONS: RAT GENOME 
DATABASE

National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)

The NHLBI, on behalf of the NIH, is requesting the competing renewal application 
from the Rat Genome Database (RGD).  This re-competition will continue a unique 
ongoing resource for a limited time.  The NIH wants to maintain the database 
infrastructure and ties to the rat research community.  Maintaining the current 
resource is particularly important now as the rat genome sequence is becoming 
available and the tools to integrate the physiology, the genetics, and now the 
genomics of the rat are available at RGD.

NHLBI staff will contact the current grantee directly regarding application 
procedures and format.
