DESCRIPTION

An Amendment has been issued to NIAID solicitation NIH-NIAID-DMID-03-39, 
entitled, "In vitro and Animal Models for Emerging Diseases and Biodefense." 
This is Amendment #3, dated January 22, 2003. It provides the following 
changes to the solicitation:

o  Revises the Generic Part C Statement of Work to allow the study of 
botulinum toxin

o  Revises the instructions for preparation, packaging and delivery of 
Generic and Task Order proposals

o  Reduces and defines the content of the Generic and Task Order proposals

o  Allows Offerors to decide the term of performance for any Task Order 
Proposals submitted

o  Informs Offerors that they are not required to submit proposals to the 
NIAID website

o  The due date and time for submission of proposals remains Tuesday, 
February 4, 2003 at 4 PM Local Time.

o  Offerors are encouraged to review the actual solicitation amendment at
