Subject line: <Grants.gov Tracking #>/<PI name>: ACTION REQUIRED TO COMPLETE SUBMISSION - Application Errors and Warnings

Body of e-mail:

ACTION REQUIRED TO COMPLETE SUBMISSION OF NIH GRANT APPLICATION:

NIH has received the electronic grant application Grants.gov Tracking # <tracking number> / PI <PI name>. Our systems have identified errors and warnings associated with your application and have placed the list of errors and warnings in eRA Commons. Your application will not move forward for further processing and funding consideration at NIH unless you address all identified errors and the authorized organization representative submits your changed/corrected application to Grants.gov before the submission deadline.

You must correct all of the listed errors. Warnings will not prevent your application from completing the electronic submission process, but serve as reminders to verify that your application complies with specific requirements in the funding opportunity announcement and application guide. Changed/corrected applications to address errors or warnings must be submitted by the submission deadline. Changed/corrected applications submitted after the submission deadline will be subject to the NIH Late Policy and may not be accepted.

Applicants should refer to the funding opportunity announcement and the application guide for detailed guidance on correcting application content. In addition, the Applying Electronically website (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/ElectronicReceipt/index.htm) contains additional resources that may assist you.
